Fundamental Job Training:
Employees engaged in security duties will be provided with basic induction training.
This training shall be provided before commencement of security operational duties.
The training will be delivered by a qualified and/or experienced member of staff at appropriate location.

Message from he tManaging Director
I am pleased to introduce this newsletter to you all,
and I hope you will find it beneficial and informative on
understanding what is happening within our company.
The features you will read will be interesting and answer
questions you may wish to ask about matters that affect you.
Our industry is changing and new challenges are being faced by all Security companies.
It is my commitment along with the Management Team of CIO Security Limited
to meet any challenges the company may face in a positive manner. Many of you
have already seen important changes to the way we approach our day to day work,
which are intended to keep CIO Security Limited
ahead of the game leading the high standards of the industry.
Permanent Payday Arrangement
As you are aware, the company has now come up with a stable salary pay day.
The new payday would be on the 10th of every month. Where the payday falls within the weekend,
the company would pay wages on the last Friday before the 10th of that month.
The new payday arrangement would be set to start off from January 2014.
This would mean that the rota would start from the 1st to last day of the month and wages for the month of January,
2014 would be paid on the 10th of February, 2014. This arrangement would be permanent.
Approved Contractor Scheme – Year 1
During coming new year CIO Security Limited will be assessed
to become an ACS Approved Contractor in line with
7499 Static Site Guarding and Mobile Patrol.
The benefits of the scheme involve improved working practices,
increased employee awareness and also a recognised standard for
which customers can be assured that they are dealing with a professional security company.
As part of the ACS requirements, we will periodically be sending out Staff Surveys,
Customer Questionnaires and also gain feedback from individuals that will come into contact with our services.
This gives the Management essential information to ensure effective working practices.
Screening and Vetting
In view of the ACS Approved Contractor Scheme,
your potential employment within the security industry is dependent on security screening.
This is done following the rules of British Standard 7858.
To ensure that the integrity of each staff is of a
suitable standard to work in a position of great trust,
we have embarked on checking either for the last five years or
back to your completion of full time education if that was less than five years ago.
Many of you have been telephoned from our Human Resources
department to get necessary data and information with respect to that.
We will confirm your education history and employment history on a continuous month-by-month basis.
We seek your optimum co operation and understanding in order to meet up with the requirements.
We will contact each of your previous employers and educational
establishments within the time period as stated above.
Permission to do so is a condition of the offer of conditional employment
and has been granted by the employment history form we sent out to you earlier this year.
If such permission is withheld this offer will be withdrawn if the security screening is
not concluded satisfactorily.
In the case of unemployment or gaps in employment:
Where you have registered with an employment service office like Jobcentres, fill in the appropriate form.
Where you have been unemployed and have not registered with an employment service office,
please nominate a character referee who is not related to you and can verify by
knowing you at the time that you were unemployed for the dates shown.
Please supply name, address and telephone number.
You must seek permission from the character referees sought,
as we will write/telephone them to confirm the information you have supplied.
From 1st January 2007 all applicants have to undergo a financial history
check in accordance with screening and vetting BS 7858. We are going to do a
financial background check/credit check on all our staffs. Please do be aware of it. Thank You!
